The Chronicle of Pakistan
The Chronicle of Pakistan is based on
Herald's August 1997 issue highlighting the
history of Pakistan between 1947-1996 both from
a political and a social viewpoint. Posted by
Khurram Shafique, the Chronicles offer glimpses
of Pakistan's newsmakers and events that shaped
the country in the wake of the partition of the
sub-continent. You can also find an assortment
of related resources bundled together from
brainteasers to wallpapers under the Primary
Sources link.
Harappa.com

Harappa.com is one of the earliest Pakistani
sites in cyberspace. Created in 1995,
Harappa.com offers an interactive journey of the
life and times of the Indus Valley Civilization.
But don't expect any boring lectures on history
here. The site is an illustrative account of our
region long before the Mughals built the Shahi
Mosque on this land. Neatly divided into
multimedia clips, shopping and a history
section, the site claims it offers 700 pages of
illustrative information about one of the oldest
civilization known to the man.
Pakwatan
Why we chose
PakWatan? Because its composition of news
and features offers a glimpse into the typical
Pakistani pursuits. You can browse through the
10 content channels focusing on news, leisure
and hobbies. The history section offers articles
on the pre and post- partition sage and a
factual guide to the geo-physical of the land. A
newly launched education channel offers listing
of educational establishments, separate
discussion forums for students, parents and
teachers, overseas study links and a career
section.
